Murray State Racers men's tennis team lost their second consecutive nonconference battle of the weekend, falling 7-0 to the University of Tennessee. The match was the team's second dual match of the spring, dropping their record to 0-2. The ITA #6 ranked Volunteers improve to 4-0.

At first singles, Adam Taylor played a competitive match against Mikelis Libietis, falling 6-2, 6-4. Taylor also fell 6-0 at #1 doubles with partner Max McLean.

David Hess was the only Racer to earn a point in both singles sets. Playing at #6 singles, Hess fell 6-1, 6-3 to Sunay Bhat. Hess and fellow freshman Mateo Barroetavena dropped their doubles match 6-1 in the No. 3 spot.

Murray State will have almost two weeks off before their next dual meet. The Racers will head back to the state of Tennessee to take on Memphis Jan. 31.
