Men’s Tennis Drops Match to Memphis

Continuing their nonconference schedule, Murray State's men's tennis team faced off against another Tennnessee-state rival. This time battling the No. 18 ranked University of Memphis Tigers yielded a result no different from the last, a straight 7-0 loss. The Racers are now 0-3 on the young season while the Tigers improve to 3-1.
Playing at No. 1 singles, Adam Taylor squared off against No. 56th ranked Joe Salisbury in the most spirited match of the evening. Taylor fell in straight sets 6-4, 6-3.

Playing in his first collegiate match, Anjan Kashyab was defeated 6-3, 6-1 at No. 6 singles. David Hess moved up to the No. 4 singles spot but was taken down by Ian Chadwell, 6-2, 6-1.
Murray State will take a few days off before traveling back to Tennessee to face Chattanooga Feb. 9. First serve is scheduled for 10 a.m.
