The Murray State women's basketball team will travel for the first away game of its 2014-15 campaign to Dayton, Ohio to face Wright State. The Racers will face the Raiders Thursday 6 p.m. at the Nutter Center on the campus of Wright State University.

MSU goes into the game coming off a 111-31 win over Blackburn College Tuesday at the CFSB Center. To start off the game, the Racers went on a 21-0 run, making shots at a high percentage and forcing the Beavers to turn over the ball multiple times. Murray State forced turnovers in the contest and finished with a plus-20 turnover margin and a whopping 18 steals. Six Murray State players scored in double-digits Tuesday, including Ke'Shunan James with a game-high 21 points. Julia Fox came off the bench and scored 14, Keiona Kirby added 13, while Jasmine Borders and Kyra Gulledge recorded 10 points each. Every Racer had at least two rebounds, with Lexii Cassell crashing the glass for a game-high 11 to go along with six points and a block.

After the game against Blackburn, MSU found its way into the Murray State record book. It was the first time in program history that the team scored triple digits in back-to-back games. The 111 points against Blackburn stands as the third most points scored by an MSU team, while the 102 scored against Alabama A&M is tied for 13th in the record book. When the Racers put up 42 field goals it became sixth in field goals made in a game, while the 91 attempts became third for attempts of field goals made. The 41 three point field goals attempted is the most ever by a Murray State team. MSU grabbed down 63 rebounds, which is now tied for fifth for rebounds in a game. The 29 assists they dished out against the Beavers became second for assists in a game.

November 21, 2013 currently stands as the only game between the two opponents. The Raiders hold the only win by defeating the Racers 95-69.

Wright State has started off its 2014-15 campaign 2-0 with wins over Austin Peay and Lipscomb. Against Austin Peay, four Raiders scored in double figures as they took the first win 85-73. Wright State shot .390 compared to the Lady Govs .360. Kim Demmings, who was voted as the Horizon League Preseason Player of the Year, left the game early with an injury. When they faced Lipscomb, Tay'ler Mingo scored 30 points to help push the team past Lipscomb 79-66. With eight minuetes left to play, Lipscomb was held off by at least five points. The Raiders shots .470 on the game, while holding Lipscomb to .340. After the first week of play, Mingo was named Horizon League Player of the Week.
