With their OVC schedule behind them, Murray State's men's tennis team played their penultimate match - a neutral site contest against South Carolina in Lexington, Ky. The Gamecocks defeated the Racers 6-0 at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex.

The two teams started the morning match with the singles competition. Freshman David Hess played a competitive match at the No. 4 draw against Chip Cox. Hess fell 6-2, 6-4.

Playing against #78 ranked Tsvetan Mihov at the No. 2 draw, Max McLean fought back in the second set after a 6-0 loss in the first set. McLean didn't have enough and fell in straight sets 6-0, 6-4.

Senior Adam Taylor had a tough draw at the No. 1 position in #75 ranked Andrew Adams. Taylor fell 6-0, 6-1.

The two teams did not play the doubles portion of the match.

The Racers will have their final match of the 2013-14 season also in Lexington, Ky. They will head back to take on Kentucky. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
