The Breds play enter the home stretch of the Ohio Valley Conference season as they travel to face league-leading Southeast Missouri on May 2-4. The series is set to get underway Friday at 5 p.m., and continue with a 2 p.m. first pitch Saturday and a 1 p.m. matinee on Sunday.

The Breds enter the home stretch of the OVC season as they travel to face league-leading Southeast Missouri on May 2-4.

The weather will improve as the weekend goes. Temps will be in the upper 60s on Friday, upper 70s on Saturday and 81 on Sunday.

The Breds have lost five of the last six series at Capaha Field, with the only win being a doubleheader sweep in 2010. MSU won the first two games of the series last year at Reagan Field, and hold a 51-50-1 advantage in the all-time series.
6 Walks in One Inning
Murray State drew six walks in the 4th inning against Arkansas State, pushing across four runs. It marked the second time this season they drew six walks in an inning. MSU also drew six walks in the fifth inning in a victory over Morehead State on March 9.

The race for the OVC Tournament is going to come down to final game of the season as six teams are separated by just two games for the final four spots.

Senior Ty Stetson joined the 200-hit club earlier this season and is now closing in on the all-time hits record at Murray State.

Strong Pitching Over First 2 Games
The Breds got strong pitching in the first two games of the Tennessee Tech series. MSU held the nations top scoring offense to eight runs, five earned, through 18 innings. They also struck out 14.
Bayus Swings Hot Bat
Anthony Bayus had a strong series against Tennessee Tech as he collected seven hits, including going 3-for-5 in both games of the doubleheader.
Saltsman's Streak Ends at 14.0 Innings
Senior Tyler Saltsman saw his streak of consecutive scoreless innings come to an end at 14.0 innings. Saltsman's streak covered six relief appearances.
Finch Moves Up Record Books
Senior Cameron Finch continues to climb the career record books. He currently ranks fifth in appearances (63), ninth in starts (33) and fifth in innings pitched (252.1).
