MSU returns to OVC play this weekend as the Racers host Tennessee Tech in a key three-game series. The Racers are coming off an 8-3 loss at 15th-ranked Ole Miss on Wednesday. TTU defeated Middle Tennessee Wednesday. The Golden Eagles are 8-6 on the road this season while MSU is 12-8 at Reagan Field.
Inside the Series
The Racers are 38-29-1 all-time at home against the Golden Eagles. TTU has owned the series of late, having won 12-of-13 dating back to 2011. Tech swept the Racers last season in Cookeville and won 2-of-3 in the last series the two teams played at Reagan Field back in 2014. MSU last won a series against the Golden Eagles in 2011.

The Golden Eagles' high-powered attack is led by freshman Kevin Strohschein's .381 average. Strohschein leads TTU in almost every offensive category, including hits (56), doubles (11), triples (3), home runs (8), RBIs (45) and runs (35). Chris Brown is second on the team in most of those statistics, hitting .376 on the year with 33 runs and 34 RBIs. Alex Junior leads the team with 10 stolen bases on 11 attempts.
