If the Racers can win at SIUE, they'll climb above the 500-mark in overall record for the first time since they were 2-1. MSU has won the last five against SIUE since back-to-back losses at SIUE in 2013 and 2014. Since the Cougars joined the OVC in 2011, MSU has a mark of 8-2 against them.
The Racers used their best rebounding performance against EIU Thursday as they won the stat 46-33. MSU has 14 offensive rebounds and that led to 18 second-chance points.
Terrell Miller recorded his third-straight double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Bryce Jones and Jonathan Stark each tossed in 17 points. The Racers outscored EIU by 20 points from the free throw line and hit 26-of-32 (.813).
The Racers come home next week to host the Eastern Kentucky Colonels Thursday (Jan. 19) at the CFSB Center at 7 p.m. MSU travels to Austin Peay (Jan. 21) to face the Austin Peay Governors. Both games will be seen on OVCDN.
