The Murray State Racers (14-13, 8-5 OVC) play their final regular season home game Saturday when they host the Eastern Illinois Panthers  (13-14, 5-9) in the second game of a doubleheader at the CFSB Center in Murray, Ky. The Racers tip is set for 7 p.m. after the MSU women's team hosts SIUE at 5 p.m.
Froggy 103 (WFGS 103.7 FM) airs every MSU game with "Voice of the Racers" Neal Bradley, in his 26th season calling the action. Former MSU assistant coach Kenny Roth provides commentary. The Racers won for the 10th time at home Thursday when they posted  an 84-73 win over SIUE. Jonathan Stark had his 17th game of 20-plus points when he scored 27 to lead all players in the game. Terrell Miller, Jr., had his ninth double-double at MSU with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
The win put the Racers back into a first place tie with UT Martin atop the OVC West Division at 8-5. With three games remaining in the regular season, the Racers are in the hunt for the division title and the coveted No. 2 seed in the OVC Tournament. After playing EIU, the Racers take to the road next week for pivital games at SE Missouri and UT Martin.
MSU has again peeked above the 500-mark as they make a run at the program's 30th consecutive winning season.Â
The Racers are also chasing a streak in conference play as they are two wins from having their 14th consecutive OVC season of 10 or more wins.
In the first meeting this season with EIU (Jan. 12), the Racers trailed 38-37 late in the first half, but rallied to win 83-72.Â
The day at the CFSB Center marks Senior Day when MSU honors it's senior players and managers who are having their final regular season home game. Student-athletes Damarcus Croaker, Bryce Jones and Gee McGhee and team student managers Kyle Jaynes, Brenden Thomas and Blake Wetherington will be honored on the court before the game with their families.
