The Murray State women's basketball team looks to snap its current skid Saturday as the Racers face Tennessee Tech at 5:30 Saturday night in the Eblen Center. MSU is looking for just its fifth win all time at TTU.
MSU is coming off a 97-65 loss Thursday at JSU. Ke'Shunan James led the way with 29 points in the loss and tied a career-high with 12 made field goals. Brianna Crane added 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting and added a team-best seven boards.
James is just five points shy of passing current MSU assistant coach Amber Guffey for third on the all-time scoring list in program history. James currently has 1,873 career points. James is also fourth in program history with 210 career steals and 668 field goals made.
Jordan Brock leads Tennessee Tech in scoring, averaging 10.9 points per game. Brock is one of four Golden Eagles averaging 10 points or more on the season. Yaktavia Hickson (10.7), Kesha Brady (10.5) and Mackenzie Coleman (10.0) all average in double figures for TTU. Hickson and Akia Harris are the only two Golden Eagles that have started in all 16 games this season. Hickson leads TTU in rebounding at 5.5 per game while Harris' 65 assists are a team-best.
TTU is averaging 60.8 points per game and is allowing 66.4 per. Thursday's win over Austin Peay snapped a five-game losing streak for the Golden Eagles.
