Racers & Redhawks Meet Monday In OVC Makeup Game
For the first time in 380 days, the Murray State Racers (7-8, 4-6) take on the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks (6-10, 4-6) in a game originally scheduled for Jan. 14. Monday's game at SEMO starts a difficult four-game road swing in eight days that sees the Racers play in three states and two time zones.

Split Results For MSU Last Week
The Racers split home games last week with a Thursday 73-53 win over Tennessee State and a 72-71 loss to Belmont Saturday. The Racers hit 46 percent from the field (54-of-117) and 32 percent from the 3-point line (13-of-40) for the week. MSU had 26 offensive rebounds in the two games, 32 assists and 27 turnovers.

KJ Williams Posts Monster Week
KJ Williams enjoyed outstanding results last week. In the two games, the MSU junior averaged 21.5 points and 16.0 rebounds. From the field, he hit 48 percent his shots on 15-of-31, including 3-of-6 from the 3-point line. Williams was 10-of-13 from the free throw line for 77 percent. Williams has four double-doubles this season and 14 in his MSU career. He added 43 points to his career total and now has 874 as he continues to push to becoming the 48th member of the MSU 1000-Point Club.

In OVC play, Williams is eighth in the in OVC scoring (15.5ppg), second in rebounding (9.4rpg) and seventh in field goal percentage (.590 on 59-of-100). He causes problems for defenders because he can also venture beyond the 3-point line where he has hit 12 of them this season after making 19 in the 2019-20 season.

Racers Show Me Center History
The Racers and Redhawks have had some amazing games at the Show Me Center, SEMO's home court. In 2014, they played a double overtime game won by SEMO 118-115. It was another overtime game in 2015 that the Racers won 94-92 and a year ago, they played overtime in which the Racers won 96-91. Every game the Racers have played at the Show Me Center has come after the Redhawks joined the OVC when they first met in 1992. Since that time, MSU has won 23-of-29 games. MSU has won the last two games at SEMO since a loss in 2017.

OVC Teams Deal With Pandemic
The OVC continues to do well in getting in regularly scheduled games. With the national average holding steady in the area of 75%, the OVC is above that having completed 81 percent of it's games in November, December and January. Entering the Jan. 30 games, The OVC has played 128-of-158 regularly scheduled games (.810) and 75 percent in January on 40-of-53. At the moment, the Racers have only two rescheduled OVC games to make up: at SEMO and SIUE (Feb. 1 & 9).
