Murray, Ky. - The Racers hosted Tennessee Tech in the final home weekend at Racer Arena of the 2020-21 season, falling in four on Sunday, 25-18, 27-29, 121-25, 23-25 and in five sets on Monday, 20-25, 26-24, 25-22, 23-25, 11-15 to the Golden Eagles.

Becca Fernandez picked up her fourth OVC honors of the 2020-21 season, winning Co-Defensive Player of the Week, with 57 digs, averaging 6.33 digs per set.

The freshman duo of Jayla Holcombe and Taylor Beasley combined for 57 of the team's 103 kills over the weekend. Beasley set new career highs in kills in both games, finishing with 11 kills on Sunday and 14 on Monday. She also set new highs in hitting percentage (.364), digs (8) and service aces (3) in Monday's match.

Kolby McClelland picked up her second double-double of the season finishing with ten kills and eleven digs. Seniors Callie Anderton and Katirah Johnson played in their final games at Racer Arena. Anderton finished with 83 assists, averaging 9.22 assists per set. She tallied a career-high five kills in the Monday match.

Junior libero Becca Fernandez had another strong weekend against Tennessee Tech, averaging 6.33 digs per set, totaling 57 digs on the weekend. She leads the OVC in digs per set (6.02) and claimed her fourth Defensive Honor and ninth of her career.

Beasley With Career Weekend
Freshman Taylor Beasley had her best weekend of the season, setting new highs in kills on Sunday with 11 before upping it to 14 the following night. In Monday's match, she set career highs in kills (14), hitting percentage (.364), digs (8) and service aces (3)

 The Beasley sisters are facing off this weekend at SEMO. Taylor is a freshman on Murray State and sister Zoey is a sophomore on the Redhawks.

She's a Brick Wall
Taylor Beasley was all over the net, blocking Eastern Illinois left and right. She set a new career-high with 10 total blocks, four block solos and six block assists. On the season, Beasley has been the team's best blocker, with a team-high 25 total blocks. She is the only Racer in double-digits for solo blocks with 12 and has 13 block assists. Morgan Price is second on the team, with 17 total blocks, eight solo and nine block assists

 Fernandez Climbing the All-Time Digs List
 Fernandez finished the 2019 season seventh overall on the All-Time Digs List. She sat at 1,603 career digs and claimed sixth place after the opening weekend versus Tennessee State picking up 39 digs. Fernandez surpassed fifth place while on the road at SIUE and surpassed fourth over the weekend at home. She is now only trailing third place by 46 digs with 1931 career digs.

After dropping the first two matches of the year to JSU, the Redhawks are on a 12-game winning streak, sweeping Eastern Illinois in straight sets over the weekend to secure the third seed in the 2020-21 OVC Championship.

Laney Malloy leads the Redhawks offense totaling 205 kills and a team-high 21 kills and 13 digs in the pair of matches. Colby Greene and Zoey Beasley are two and three on the team in offensive production is 135 and 130 kills.

Southeast Missori hit .271 over the weekend, led by junior setter Claire Ochs, contributing 95 assists in six sets of action, averaging 10.56 per set on the year. She captured her eighth double-double of the season in the series finale with 36 assists and 10 digs.
