LAST TIME OUT
The Murray State Men's cross country team made history at the North Alabama Invitational in Florence, Alabama.
Three men had top-ten all-time performances in Murray State history. Jorge Ruiz (2nd - 25:09), Caleb Kawasaki (4th – 25:26) and Vicente Correia (5th – 25:28) while seven of the nine men ran personal best times with an eighth man matching his PR on the course at McFarland Park.
Dani Wright led the Racer women to a second-place team finish at the North Alabama Invitational.
Wright finished second of 106 with a personal record time of 18:12.7 as six other Racers also tabbed personal-best times.
The women scored 57 points as four of the Racers' top-five runners finished in a 54-second window and in the top-15 overall.
QUOTABLES – From Distance Coach Jordan Johnston
During our two week break from competition, the team was able to get in some solid training with the start of a new lifting block. Mizzou's course is new for almost everyone but we're excited for the opportunity to run against some fast competition on a really great host site. It has been awhile since our women competed in a 6k so this will also be an exciting meet to see if Senior Dani Wright can break into our top 10 all-time list.
UP NEXT
