The Murray State women's basketball team handled UT Martin Saturday, 65-49, at the CFSB Center in Murray, Kentucky.

· After shooting less than 30-percent from the floor Thursday against Eastern Illinois, the Racers bounced back nicely against the Skyhawks going 23-for-41 from the field for 56.1-percent.
· Murray State was also hot from beyond the arc Saturday, going 8-for-13 from 3-point range for a season-high of 61.5-percent, the fourth-best single-game percentage in school history.
· For just the eighth time in the history of Murray State women's basketball, the Racers were perfect at the free throw line on 10 or more attempts. MSU went 11-for-11 from the charity stripe Saturday, for the fourth-best single-game performance in MSU history.
· The win put an end to a six-game string of futility for Murray State against UT Martin, giving the Racers just their fourth win over the Skyhawks since 2010. Of those four wins, current head coach Rechelle Turner now owns two of them.
· Lex Mayes led the 3-point barrage by Murray State Saturday by going 5-for-6 from beyond the arc to finish with a game-high 17 points.
· Katelyn Young followed Mayes with 16 points, while Hannah McKay had 13. Young was a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line, while McKay went 4-for-4
· Alexis Burpo led a very balanced rebound effort by the Racers Saturday with a game-high 7 boards. Through eight conference games this season, Burpo has led the Racers in rebounding with 7.3 per game.
· With the win, Murray State is now 13-6 on the season, 5-3 in OVC play and 8-2 at the CFSB Center. The Racers are also now 11-0 on the year when leading after the first quarter.

The Racers will head to the Land of Lincoln Monday to take on SIUE at the First Community Arena in Edwardsville, Illinois at 5:30 p.m.
