At 4-1, Racers Look to Continue Strong Start to the Season

Murray State women's tennis travels to Nashville, Tennessee on Friday for a bout with Lipscomb at 1 pm. The Racers have begun the season an impressive 4-1 following a doubleheader sweep over Cumberland (Tenn.) last weekend at the Kenlake Tennis Center.

Stasya Sharapova has led MSU thus far, with a 9-0 overall record. Picked as the preseason seventh-best player in the OVC, Sharapova, a fifth-year senior has been a staple for the Racers in her time at Murray State.

The doubles team of Marit Kreugel and Sarah Bureau sit at an impressive 8-0 across the fall and spring seasons, with the team of Sharapova and Annika Pschorr on a formidable 7 match win streak.

Scouting the Bison

Lipscomb currently sit at 1-2, picking up a victory in their most recent match over fellow OVC member UT-Martin. Sophomore Sasha Dobranos leads the Bison with a personal 3-0 record in singles this season.
