Belmont Defeated Murray State 14-6 on Saturday Afternoon
Murray State was able to scratch eight hits from eight different players in the contest. Bryson Bloomer homered for the second consecutive day to take the team lead for home runs this season with five. Leadoff hitter Jake Slunder provided a hit, two RBIs, and collected his 11th stolen base of the season in the contest. The Cabot, Arkansas native is now batting .324 on the year while scoring 21 runs. First baseman Parker Estes and catcher Alex Crump each drove in a run in the game.Â
Relief pitchers Alec Whaley and Jordyn Naranjo combined for 1.2 scoreless innings while the two allowed just one combined hit.
Bruins designated hitter led all batters in the game with an impressive 4 for 6 day including a double, a triple, and two home runs.
