After Posting One of the Most Impressive Offensive Weekends in Program History a Week Ago, Murray State Hosts SIUE for Three-Game Set
Murray State (22-18) baseball hosts SIUE for a three-game conference series beginning at 5 pm on Friday at Johnny Reagan Field in Murray, Kentucky. The Racers are winners of six straight OVC games and four straight overall with the most recent victory over Alabama A&M on Tuesday. MSU will honor Racer greats George Dugan and Coach Johnny Reagan on Saturday as part of alumni weekend at the ballpark.
The Racers have scored 64 runs in the last four games with hot bats throughout the lineup. Graduate outfielder Jake Slunder leads MSU with a .331 batting average to go with a national high six triples, and an .894 OPS. Slunder has stolen a team-high 21 bases this season. Bryson Bloomer has propelled the Murray State offense with 18 RBIs in his last six games to go with a team-high 10 home runs.Â
Hayden Wynja has earned back-to-back wins on the mound while tossing 10 innings and striking out 10 across the appearances. Jacob Pennington is a player to watch for on both sides of the game with a .312 batting average and six home runs at the plate and a 3.41 ERA across 37 innings pitched.

Kaid Karnes anchors the Cougars pitching staff with a 2.07 across 47.2 innings pitched while striking out 49 batters.
