Racers men's cross country will visit Tennessee Tech for second meet of the season

Murray State men's cross country will run an 8,000m race at the Golden Eagle Invite at Cookeville, Tennessee, Friday.

The will feature the hosts, Tennessee Tech, and the visiting teams are Carson Newman, UT Martin and Tennesse State.

Returner Racers have experience in the course, Jorge Ruiz placed eighth in Golden Eagle Invite 2021 with a time of 26 minutes 1.5 seconds. Returners Nathan Quinn, Ryan Dent, Benjamin Hall and Jarod Willis are also familiar with the course.

Freshmen Joey Santoro, Dan Schalk, Jackson Custer and Ben Crask will round up the Racer lineup.

The Racers placed fifth as a team in last year's Golden Eagle Invite.

This will be the Racers' first championship distance race of the season.
