Collective launched as the official NIL entity of Racer Athletics
With the continued growth of name, image, and likeness (NIL) across the landscape of college athletics, the Blue & Gold Standard has officially been launched as the gateway to link fans, donors and businesses with Murray State student-athletes to provide NIL opportunities.
The Blue & Gold Standard is the newest avenue for passionate alumni and investors to provide direct financial support to bolster the success and overall experience of Racer student-athletes.
The collective is not directly affiliated with Murray State Athletics and will operate within NCAA, Missouri Valley Conference and Commonwealth of Kentucky parameters. Contributions to the collective are not tax deductible.
"We are extremely grateful for this group of very special investors who have devoted a significant amount of time, talent and treasures into this collective," Director of Athletics Nico Yantko said. "The Blue & Gold Standard will allow our student-athletes to work directly with fans, donors and local businesses to continue and maximize their opportunities in the NIL space. We fully support and stand behind the Blue & Gold Standard."
The primary focus of this organization is to create a wide range of NIL opportunities for student-athletes that helps them grow as young people, while giving participating external constituents the opportunity to interact with student-athletes in unique ways.
The organization is a 501(c)(3) and is the official collective of Murray State Athletics. It was created by a group of trusted Racer supporters who have bought into the new vision and trajectory of Murray State Athletics and are committed to transforming the lives of MSU's student-athletes through new NIL initiatives.
"When we first began the process of forming this collective, our primary goal was to create the best NIL entity possible to help Murray State's student-athletes be successful on and off the field and court," President & CEO of the DTC Auto Group David Taylor said. "I believe that we have done just that with the Blue & Gold Standard. I am excited to help lead this charge and give our passionate fans and loyal alumni the ability to provide direct financial support and benefits to each of our student-athletes. Murray State boasts a proud tradition of excellence, and we encourage our entire fanbase to help support that by getting involved in this special initiative."
With the official endorsement of the collective, the department will continue to leverage the Dennis Jackson Leadership Program to provide quality and timely NIL education, financial literacy tools and brand management training for all Racer student-athletes.
