Murray State volleyball earn sweep win at Southern Illinois as Bailey DeMier reach 3000 career assists.

In A Nutshell
Murray State volleyball earn their fourth conference win with a sweep win at Southern Illinois, Friday. To add to the celebrations, Bailey DeMier reached 3000 career assists.

The Racers took grabbed the momentum on the final stretch of the first set when they made a 5-2 scoring run to clinch the set. They rode their momentum and dominated the second set 25-15. Both teams made their own scoring runs on the third set but the Racers were able to come out on top to grab the third set and the match.

With the win, the Racers now has a 4-2 record in Missouri Valley Conference play, tied at fourth in the standings.

Fast Facts

DeMier joined the 3000-assists club. She now has 3001 assists and is only the sixth Racer to reach this milestone.
DeMier made 41 assists to average 13.67 per set.
Darci Metzger posted a three-set match career-high performance with 21 kills. She tied for fifth all-time in Racer history.
Dahlia Miller made 17 digs to lead the Racers' back row.
Haidi Miliou keeps up her efficient offense by posting .539 attack percentage while making nine kills and two blocks.
