Murray State Baseball was not able to find an answer to North Florida on Sunday, dropping the contest 17-7

Murray State Baseball fell to North Florida 17-7 in game three of their series on Sunday at Harmon Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla. Catcher Taylor Howell paced the Racers offense with three hits on the day including a double and first-inning opposite field home run.

Graduate first baseman Brennan McCullough contributed significantly at the plate with a 2 for 4 day including a solo home run in the second inning and an RBI single in the third inning.

Dustin Mercer continued his strong weekend with the bat, earning two more hits including his third double of the season along with two runs scored. Designated hitter Charlie Corum and outfielder Seth Gardner were each able to pick up an RBI in the series finale with UNF.

Murray State will begin its home slate on Tuesday when they host former conference rival UT Martin at Johnny Reagan Field. First pitch for the contest is scheduled for 3 p.m.
