- 2024-25 is the 100th season of collegiate basketball at Murray State & third in the Missouri Valley Conference.
- For the 44th time overall and the fifth time as members of the MVC, the Racers take on the Evansville Purple Aces Tuesday in a 7 p.m. game at the CFSB Center to open MVC play.
- The Racers are coming off a 79-66 win over the UT Arlington Mavericks in Jacksonville, Florida.
- The Racers have put five players in double-figure scoring in four of their six games including the UTA game.
- AJ Ferguson scored a career-high 21 points, while Nick Ellington scored 14, Kylen Milton added 13 and MSU got 10 points each from Alden Applewhite and Terence Harcum.
- Harcum has hit a 3-point basket in all six games to start the season.
- Harcum is third in the MVC with 17 made 3-point baskets and he is fourth in percentage at .415 on 17-of-41.
- Overall, Harcum and Ferguson are 14th in the MVC in scoring at 13.7ppg.
- The Racers have one of the most-balanced offenses in the MVC with being only a few tenths from having six in double-figure scoring.
- MSU is second in the MVC in scoring 83.7ppg, behind only UIC at 86.4. MSU is second in defensive scoring at 65.2.
- December continues with the Racers taking on old rivals Southeast Missouri (Dec. 8) at home and playing at Western Kentucky (Dec. 14).
