Racers Not Enough for Crimson Tide

Murray State women's basketball fell to nationally ranked Alabama on Sunday afternoon
Murray State women's basketball fell 90-63 to Alabama on Sunday afternoon at Coleman Colosseum in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Halli Poock and Ava Learn led the Racers with 17 points and 14 points, respectively, with Learn also grabbing six rebounds to lead MSU.
Haven Ford and Katelyn Young each reached double figures in scoring. After MSU led through the first quarter, Alabama limited the Racers to 17 points combined across the second and third quarters to pull away in the contest and ultimately earn the win.Â
Murray State has now led Southeastern Conference opponents for four of the eight quarters they have played against the prominent league (LSU and Alabama). The game ends the Racers streak of four straight victories overall and three straight wins on the road.Â
Murray State returns to the CFSB Center on Thursday (Dec. 19) to take on Western Carolina.
