Racers Host Catamounts for Thursday Matchup

Murray State women's basketball hosts Western Carolina for a matchup on Thursday at 6 p.m.
Murray State women's basketball hosts Western Carolina on Thursday at 6 p.m. at the CFSB Center in Murray, Kentucky. The meeting marks the third ever meeting between the two sides as Murray State won the matchup a year ago. Murray state Hall Of Famer Amber Guffey (2005-09) will have her jersey retired pregame. She ended her career third all-time in Racer History with 1,877 points and ranked in or near the top 4 in several Murray State records, including minutes played, games played, assists, made free throws, free throw percentage and three-point baskets.Â
Four Racers all average 15 points or more per contest in Halli Poock, Katelyn Young, Haven Ford, and Ava Learn. In the Racers last matchup in the CFSB Center, they posted 116 points against Austin Peay, the most ever against a Divison I opponent.Â
The Racers enter the contest at 5-3 on the season with a 90-67 defeat to Alabama last time out.Â
