Game Day Story Lines

2024-25 is the 100th season of collegiate basketball at Murray State & third in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Wednesday's game marks the Racers' second game this season in The Valley, after they defeated Evansville 63-61 at home (Dec. 3).
In these early MVC games, the Racers have been successful in going 4-1.
The Racers are looking for their first win at Hulman Center since 2008.
Indiana State has taken the last three meetings since the Racers won their first MVC game against the Sycamores at home in 2022.
The Racers have started the same five in all seven games: JaCobi Wood, Terence Harcum, Kylen Milton, AJ Ferguson and Nick Ellington.
Harcum has hit a 3-pointer in all nine games this season for the Racers.
Harcum, from Appalachian State, is part of a trio of players that joined the Racers for their final season, as Kylen Milton played last season at Pine Bluff and AJ Ferguson at Southern Illinois.
Wood and Ellington, who were named All-MVC Preseason, have started all 110 combined games they've been involved in at MSU. Wood has 73 straight starts and Ellington is now at 41 in a row.
The Racers are No. 24 this week in the College Insider Mid-Major Top-25.
MSU competes at the Diamond Head Classic with their first game of three in the event against Nebraska (Dec. 22) in Honolulu, Hawaii.
