- 2024-25 is the 100th season of collegiate basketball at Murray State & third in the Missouri Valley Conference.
- Sunday's matinee marks the 89th meeting between the Racers and Redhawks, who competed in the Ohio Valley Conference for 30 seasons from 1992 to 2022.
