Murray State will host North Alabama in mid-day match

Murray State women's tennis will face North Alabama in the first match of the season at Bennie Purcell Tennis Courts.

The Racers have gotten a hot start to the spring season. At their last weekend match up's, the Racers went 7-0 against Western Kentucky and 5-2 against Middle Tennessee. Graduate Marit Kreugel picked up her 100th career win over the weekend. Along with this accomplishment, Kreugel and doubles partner Paola Campigotto were named MVC Doubles Team of the Week. Murray State is 6-1 on the season.

North Alabama is coming off a strong weekend in Jackson, Mississippi. The Lions swept the double header with a 4-0 win over Jackson State, and a 4-1 win over Alcorn State. All seven players that played a match had a win on Saturday. North Alabama is 5-2 on the season, their best start since 2011.

The Racers will face North Alabama at 1:00 pm on Saturday at the Bennie Purcell Courts in Murray, Kentucky.
