Racers Travel To Fayetteville for SEC Weekend Series

The weekend’s series with #2 Arkansas will be the second time in program history the Racers face the Razorbacks.

MSU has played Arkansas just once before in program history in 2021. The Razorbacks swept the Racers in a three-game set, but Murray State kept each game within single digits.

Scouting Report
Arkansas enters the series with a 6-2 record under head coach Dave Van Horn, who is in his 22nd year as the Razorbacks' skipper.
Arkansas is led by Jared Sprague-Lott and Kendall Diggs with batting averages of .458 and .400 this season. Sprague-Lott and Diggs are the team's leaders in runs scored, total bases, on-base percentage and slugging percentage.
Hagen Smith and Mason Molina lead Arkansas' pitching staff with 19 strikeouts each, with both pitchers having thrown less than nine innings thus far. Brady Tygart has allowed just one run on five hits and four walks with 10 strikeouts in 11 innings on the mound.

Alex Elsing, Ryan Fender and Bryce Valero sit in a tie for the second-most strikeouts in the conference with 12 each.
Murray State's pitching staff sits atop the conference in combined strikeout total (86) and lowest opponents' batting average (.210).
