Senior Faith Bostick broke the program record in the 60-meter dash in Louisville, Kentucky on Friday.
The Murray State women's track and field team shined at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville, highlighted by another school indoor record being broken and 26 new personal records made.
"After a week off, it was nice to get back to competing," head coach Adam Kiesler said. "The highlight of the day has to be Faith with a school-record 7.39 in the 60-meter dash. She has had her eyes set on that since she ran in this meet two years ago."
The Rockledge, Florida native won her first event of the season and third individual event as a Racer.
Senior Kayla Bell also secured a win on Friday in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.89. She nabbed her third individual win this season and second in the 400-meter.
"In our program we set goals and put them on tiles, so when they are achieved we can smash them," Kiesler said. "This week at our team meeting, we will have plenty of tiles to break! It's also fun to have the men with us, giving them a chance to compete for the first time since November."
Ben Crask, Jackson Custer, Nathan Quinn, Gabe Russell, Joey Santoro and Dan Schalk all competed in the men's 3000-meter run. Russell made his indoor debut, finishing in 32nd with a time of 8:55.74. Schalk set a new personal best with a time of 9:03.77.
26 different Racers set personal bests on Friday, marking the most records made in a single meet this season and the third-straight meet with at least 10 personal records reached.
