Murray State women's basketball will face Missouri State in the quarterfinal round of the Hoops in the Heartland, Friday.

Notes

Murray State enters their second Hoops in the Heartland as the sixth seed and took down 11th seed Bradley (87-49) to advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament.
The Racers handed Missouri State their only home loss of the season when they beat the Bears 95-89 on Feb. 11.
The Bears also handed the Racers their first home loss of this season (74-84) on Jan. 28.
This will be the eighth meeting between the Racers and Bears with Missouri State leading the series 5-2.
The Racers fell in the quarterfinals of the 2023 Hoops in the Heartland when they suffer a narrow 73-75 loss to Illinois State.
MSU enters the game with the fifth-highest scoring offense in the nation with 85.5 points per game. They have 12 90-plus point games this season.
They remain the highest offensive team in the Missouri Valley Conference.
The Racers lead the nation in bench points with 36.7 points per game.
The Racers feature three All-MVC honorees; Katelyn Young (First Team All-MVC), Ava Learn (All-Newcomer Team) and Haven Ford (All-Freshman Team).
Katelyn Young averaged 24 points and 7.5 rebounds per game last weekend.
She leads the Missouri Valley Conference with 19.57 points per game.
Young now has 2,274 points and is 14 points away from becoming the program's scoring record. The record is currenly held by Sheila Smith (2,287).
Young is also 14 rebounds away from her 1000 career rebound.

Missouri State enters the Hoops in the Heartland as the 3rd seed with a 21-8 overall record.
The Bears feature two All-MVC honorees; Newcomer of the Year, Second team All-MVC and MVC All-Defensive team honoree Lacy Stokes along with Sixth Player of the Year and All-MVC Third Team honoree Kennedy Taylor.
