- Murray State enters their seventh postseason competition in program histroy.
- The lost in the second round of the MVC Hoops in the Heartland 70-71 to Missouri State last week.
- This will be the second meeting between the Racers and the Golden Eagles, the first in this century. Their first meeting happened in 1993 at the Reed Green Coliseum where the Eagles won 91-59.
- On their first meeting, head coach Rechelle Turner was a player for Murray State. She led the Racers in assists in the 1992-93 season.
- The Racers fell to Vanderbilt (47-73) in the WNIT in 2022.
- Murray State finished the season with a 20-11 record. The seventh time they have ended regular season with 20-plus wins, the second time under Rechelle Turner.
- MSU enters the game with the fifth-highest scoring offense in the nation with 85.1 points per game. They have 12 90-plus point games this season.
