Murray State women’s basketball beat Bradley 81-64 to close regular season with a win.

Murray State women's basketball wins 81-64 over Bradley to close their regular season with a win, Saturday.

The Racers capitalized on a strong first half, outscoring the Braves 44-29. The hosts outscored MSU 19-17 in the third quarter but the Racers clinched the game with a dominant 20-16 final period.

MSU closed the regular season with a 19-10 overall and 12-8 Missouri Valley Conference record. They will head to the Hoops in the Heartland as the sixth seed team.

Katelyn Young posted fourth consecutive 20-plus-point performance with 27 points. She also posted six rebounds.

Young is now 30 points away from becoming the Racers all-time leader points after shooting 55 percent from the field.

Haven Ford THE Freshman
Haven Ford posted her first career double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.. She was perfect from the free-throw line by going 13 for 13.

What's Next?
Murray State will enter Hoops in the Heartland as the sixth seed of the MVC. Their first round will be against Bradley for a back-to-back matchup, Wednesday.
