Dunker Awards Shine Light On Amazing Racers

The Dunker Awards are the annual end of year gathering of Murray State student-athletes to recognize the best of the best
The Murray State Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) staged its annual Dunker Awards at the CFSB Center.

The event is a night when all Murray State student-athletes get together to fellowship and recognize their peers for great performances in 2023-24.

The 2023-24 school year marks the end of the Racers' second year as members of the Missouri Valley Conference and their first in the Missouri Valley Football Conference.

The 2023 Dunker Awards Winners
Single Performance Award – Kayla Bell (Track & Field)
Racer Heart Award - Chloe Barnthouse (Soccer)
Male Newcomer of the Year – Ethan Krizen (Baseball)
Female Newcomer of the Year – Caroline Martin (Rifle)
Male Athlete of the Year – Matias Kiuru (Rifle)
Female Athlete of the Year – Katelyn Young (Basketball)
Male Racer of the Year – Quincy Anderson (Basketball)
Female Racer of the Year – Natalie Slezakova (Tennis) & Cayson Connor (Basketball)
Coaching Staff of the Year – Tennis & Coach Jorge Caetano
Investor of the Year – Larry Suiter & Tommy & Sandy Draffen
Lifetime Achievement Award – Jeanie Morgan
Faculty Member of the Year – Dr. Tim Todd
