Meghan Fletcher finished as a top-20 nationally high jumper to end her collegiate career as a Racer.
Meghan Fletcher ended a record season and Murray State career on Saturday in 20th of the high jump at the NCAA Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
"Making it back-to-back national championship meets is an amazing feat for Fletch," head coach Adam Kiesler said. "It is the icing on the top of an amazing career."
Fletcher, a senior from Grayslake, Illinois, cleared the 1.72-meter mark on her first attempt before clearing 1.77 meters on the third attempt. Despite falling short of clearing 1.82 meters, Fletcher set a new program record at the East Regionals in Lexington, Kentucky with a height of 1.84 meters.
She broke her own outdoor record of 1.79 meters that was set during the 2023 season. Her 20th-place finish was four spots better than her finish at the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Championships in Austin, Texas.
"She came in as a high jumper and left a multiple-time champion and so much more," Kiesler added. "We can't thank her enough for everything she has done for this program. We want to thank everyone who watched and sent messages over the last few days. It means a lot to the kids and the program."
