2024-25 is the 100th season of collegiate basketball at Murray State & third in the Missouri Valley Conference.
The Racers visit the Windy City Wednesday for a game with the UIC Flames, the fourth meeting between the two since they became a new member of The Valley with the Racers and Belmont in 2022.
MSU has won all three previous meetings including a visit to Credit Union 1 Arena last January.
Carrying a 3-game win streak into the UIC game, the Racers have also won four of their last five and hold a share of second place with Drake, Belmont and UNI in the MVC at 4-2, while Bradley is 5-1 at the top.
On Saturday, the Racers held home court in a 58-47 win over Valparaiso.
In the Valpo game, Terence Harcum reached the career 1000-point mark and JoaCobi Wood reached the 1500-point level.
The Racers are No. 116 in the NCAA Net Rankings and have three combined wins over Quad 1 & 2 opponents, as Drake and Illinois State lead the MVC each with four.
In the MVC, the Racers are No. 8 in scoring offense and No. 2 in scoring defense and in holding opponents to .293 shooting from the 3-point line.
The rebound stat is providing a good marker on the Racers' ability to win games.
Against NCAA D-I opponents, the Racers are 8-1 when they win the rebound stat and 1-6 when they don't this season.
