Racers Travel to Bluff City for Matchup With Tigers

Murray State to face Memphis in the final matchup of the regular season.
The Murray State Racers face the Memphis Tigers for their final regular season matchup of the 2024-25 season on Saturday, January 25 at 9 a.m. CT in Memphis, Tenn.Â
 Murray State is coming off of a strong performance in the Withrow Invitational that saw multiple Racers post season and career high scores. The Racers also tied a school record with a season-high 2380 in air rifle. Â
ÂJohn Blanton's 599 in air rifle was a career high and earned him Pepsi Athlete of the Week honors. The Brookings, S.D. native was the top shooter for the Racers, placing fourth overall.Â
ÂSenior Zach Johnson placed ninth overall and fired a career high 591 in air rifle and a season high 589 smallbore. Â
ÂGrace Foley and Isabelle Gratz posted season highs as well, with Foleny shooting a 589 in air rifle and Gratz putting up a 586 in smallbore.
The Navy & Gold sit sixth in the nation with an average aggregate of 4720.555 while Memphis' average aggregate of 4699.889 places them 13th.
ÂThe Tigers last competition was also the Withrow invitational where they placed fourth. Â
ÂGabriela Zych was the top finisher for the Tigers, finishing third overall with an aggregate of 1188, just one point off of the Memphis all-time record. Â
