Young's 33 Point Performance Leads Racers to Dominant Win

Murray State women's basketball defeated Indiana State 97-71 to move to 7-1 in MVC Play
On the back of Katelyn Young's 33-point performance, Murray State women's basketball was dominant in a 97-71 victory over Indiana State at the CFSB Center in Murray, Kentucky. The Racers post game proved one of the key differences as Ava Learn put together 18 points to go along with Young's massive night. The pairing combined for 17 rebounds as the Racers had 37 rebounds as a team.Â
The 33 point night is a season high for Young and is her 10th game of 30 points or more in her career.Â
Trinity White and Haven Ford each had 11 points while Halli Poock had eight points and nine assists. 10 different players were in the scoring column as MSU dished out 23 assists on 34 field goals.
Murray State is now 12-0 this season when scoring 80 or more points this season and rank inside the top five nationally in scoring at 87.9 points per game. Entering the contest second nationally in three pointers per game, the Racers sank 11 three point attempts in the game while holding the Sycamores to 1-11 from behind the arc. Murray State moves to 7-1 in Missouri Valley Conference play and remains tied for first with Belmont.
