High Flying Racers Dominant in Showing Against Evansville

Muray State women's basketball secured their sixth straight win in a 104-66 victory over Evansville
Winner's of six-straight contests, Murray State women's basketball was dominant in a 104-66 win over Evansville at the CFSB Center in Murray, Kentucky. The Racers move to 14-4 overall and 8-1 in Missouri Valley Conference play and averaged 100.5 points in their two games this week.Â
After posting 33 points on Friday night, Katelyn Young scored 25 points and grabbed seven rebounds in just 23 minutes to lead MSU over the Purple Aces. Freshman guard Braxcynn Baker set a new career-high 18 points, making a team-high four three pointers.Â
Ava Learn continued to be a force in the post, with 14 points and 10 rebounds for her eighth double-double of the season. Eight different Racers scored seven or more points, including 15 combined points from freshmen Jada Cook and Grace Billington.Â
Defensively, Murray State grabbed 15 steals for a season high while also blocking six shots. Trinity White led the team with four steals as the Purple Aces committed 23 turnovers.Â
