Battle for the Top, Racers Face Bruins in Music City

Murray State women's basketball battles Belmont on Saturday in a contest between MVC's best
Murray State women's basketball travels to Belmont on Saturday at 4 p.m. in Nashville, Tennesee. The Racers and Bruins have won six and seven straight games, respectively and are tied at the top of the Missouri Valley Conference standings, each at 8-1.
Katelyn Young was named MVC Player of the Week and U.S. Basketball Writers Association National Player of the Week after averaging 29 points and eight rebounds in MSU's wins over Indiana State and Evansville.
Four Racers all average 13 points or more per contest in Halli Poock, Haven Ford, Ava Learn, and Young. The Racers enter the contest at 14-4 on the season and are third nationally in scoring at 88.8 points per game.

Belmont enters the game at 13-7 on the season, defeating Indiana State 88-58Â in their last time out. Jailyn Banks leads the Bruins with 13.2Â points per game and 3.6 rebounds per game.Â
