Racers Begin Homestand in Matchup with Drake

Murray State women's basketball hosts Drake on Thursday night
Murray State women's basketball hosts Drake on Thursday at 6 p.m. at the CFSB Center in Murray, Kentucky. The Racers and Bulldogs are currently tied for third place in the Missouri Valley Conference at 9-3 in league play.
Katelyn Young was named a semifinalist for the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year award and leads the MVC in scoring this season with 20.2 points while also averaging 6.1 rebounds.
Four Racers all average 13.3 points or more per contest in Halli Poock, Haven Ford, Ava Learn, and Young. The Racers enter the contest at 15-6 on the season and are coming off of a win at Valparaiso on Sunday.
Murray State picked up the program's first ever win over Drake 81-59 on January 18 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Scouting Report
Drake enters the game at 15-8 on the season, defeating Bradley 71-51 in their last time out. Katie Dinnebier, who was also named a semifinalist for the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year award leads the Bulldogs with 19.9 points per game while dishing out 174 assists.
