Murray State improves to 4-0 on the season with 18-7 win over UT Martin

The Murray State Baseball team is off to their best start since the 2022 season following an 18-7 victory over UT Martin on Tuesday. It's the Racers third game this season with double digit runs scored.

Dan Tauken lead the way again for Murray State. After producing the walk off winner against WKU, the junior from N.Y. went 3-4 with a walk and three RBIs.

Luke Mistone, a junior out of Upland, Calif., slammed the only Racers' home run of the afternoon as part of a two hit and four RBI afternoon.

Jonathan Hogart, recorded his second multi-hit game of the season and extended his hitting streak to five games dating back to last season.

Nic Schutte earned the win for Murray State. The first year Racer pitched three scoreless innings of relief with four strikeouts in his first appearance for Murray State.

The Racers are now set to travel for their road series of the season. They will travel to Little Rock to face the Trojans. Murray State is 17-6 all-time against Little Rock.
