Murray State women's basketball continues their campaign on Friday night at UIC

Murray State women's basketball travels to UIC on Friday at 7 p.m. in Chicago, Illinois. The Racers are in second place in the Missouri Valley Conference at 8-2 in league play and have won seven of their last eight contests.

Katelyn Young has been on a dominant run of games, averaging over 32 points per game in the past three contests. Young leads the MVC in scoring this season with 20.4 points while also averaging 6.2 rebounds.

Four Racers all average 13.9 points or more per contest in Halli Poock, Haven Ford, Ava Learn, and Young. The Racers enter the contest at 14-5 on the season and are third nationally in scoring at 88.8 points per game.

MSU defeated the Flames 67-60 on January 12 for Rechelle Turner's record breaking 121st win at Murray State.

Scouting Report

UIC enters the game at 8-11 on the season, defeating Indiana State 58-53 in their last time out. Makiyah Williams leads the Flames with 11.3 points per game.
