Racers to Face Ole Miss in Midweek Contest

Murray State Baseball, (7-0, 0-0 MVC), is hitting the road for Wednesday matchup against #17 Ole Miss (10-1, 0-0 SEC).
Murray State is riding a 7-0 start to 2025, their best in three seasons.

Last weekend, the Racers completed a three-game sweep of Little Rock. Murray State won the last game, 6-4, on a ninth inning rally highlighted by a Jonathan Hogart game tying solo home run and a game winning two RBI triple by Luke Mistone.

Mistone was named Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week, after he batted .520 for the week and notched seven extra base hits, including five doubles.

Hogart, who launched a pair of home runs in the final game against Little Rock, leads the Racers with a .568 on base percentage.

On the mound, first year Racer Isaac Silva, tossed seven innings only allowing one earned run and striking out seven.

This will be the 26th all time meeting between Ole Miss and Murray State. Murray State won last year's contest in Oxford, Miss., in extra innings 12-9.
