Racers Fall to Ole Miss in Extra Inning Contest

Murray State drops Wednesday evening game against #17 Ole Miss.

Jonathan Hogart extended his hitting streak to eight games, going 2-5 at the plate and reaching on a walk.

The Racers overcame a 4-1 deficit in the 7th inning, thanks in part to consecutive hits by Dan Tauken and Will Vierling which tied and then gave Murray State the lead 5-4. Luke Mistone and Dom Decker provided further offense for the Racers with RBI singles to give the Racers a 7-4 lead.Â

Ole Miss tied the game with a two-run rally in the ninth inning and won the game on a Hayden Federico RBI single 8-7.

The Racers will return to action on Friday at Johnny Reagan Field for a three-game series versus the Western Illinois Leathernecks. Friday's game is scheduled for 3PM.
