The Murray State Baseball team will face the Western Illinois Leathernecks for the second time this season. Murray State swept a doubleheader from the Leathernecks to open the season on Valentine's Day.

The Racers return to Johnny Reagan Field after coming up short against #17 Ole Miss in 10 innings (Mar 5). This will be Murray State's first weekend home series of the 2025 campaign.

Jonathan Hogart is currently leading the Racers with a .558 on base percentage and is riding an eight-game hitting streak into Friday's game.

Luke Mistone was named Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week. The junior transfer from Upland Calif. notched two more hits against Ole Miss, extending his multi-hit game streak to five games.

Will Vierling, who hit three home runs against the Leathernecks (Feb 14), provided an RBI single which gave the Racers the lead against Ole Miss.

Murray State is 8-2 all time against the Leathernecks.

Prior to Saturday's game, the Racers will hold senior day ceremonies and recognize ten seniors and their contributions to the Murray State Baseball Program.
