Hogart’s Slam Lifts Racers Past Lions

Murray State defeats North Alabama on a grand slam from Jonathan Hogart
The Murray State Baseball team, (16-8, 2-4 MVC), defeated the North Alabama Lions, (8-18, 5-4 ASUN), 5-3 Tuesday afternoon at Johnny Reagan Field in Murray, Ky.
The Racers fell behind 3-0 after four and a half innings, until Jonathan Hogart gave the Racers the lead with a grand slam in the bottom of the fifth inning. With that home run, Hogart tied Will Vierling for the team lead in home runs with seven for the season.
Jackson Ugo earned the win for the Racers and Derek Lebron notched his first save of the season to seal the win.
Murray State improved to 16-8 on the season.
