Taylor Peaking At Right Time For the Racers

The Racers competed in Louisville at the Freeman-Wood Open
Murray State's Diamonasia Taylor came home with a first place showing in the high jump at the Jim Freeman-Clark Wood Invitational at Cardinal Park in Louisville, Kentucky (April 25-27).

Jim Freeman is also a cherished figure in Murray State track and field as a 1977 MSU Hall of Fame inductee, after a stellar career for the Racers from 1964-67 when he was one of the fastest men on earth.

Taylor, is having a tremendous spring for the Racers, as she also competed in the Long Jump where she placed 11th with a leap of 5.47M.

The Racers also had a big day from Ruth Kimutai with a second place showing in the Steeplechase at 10:57.
Â
The Racers continue the outdoor season with a final stop in Nashville before heading back to Carbondale for the Missouri Valley Championships (May 17-18).
