Murray State scores 10 in Tuesday victory over Bellarmine
The Murray State Baseball team, (20-8, 5-4 MVC), defeated Bellarmine, (8-24, 4-8 ASUN), 10-0 in seven innings at Johnny Reagan Field in Murray, Kentucky Tuesday afternoon. The Racers have now won five straight games.
Carson Garner hit a pair of home runs and drove in four runs to give Murray State a 4-0 lead after three innings. Conner Cunningham added an RBI triple in the fourth inning and later scored on a wild pitch to extend the Racers lead to 6-0.
Nico Bermeo provided the Racers with three hits to lead Murray State in the hit column for the afternoon.Â
Jacob Hustedde earned the win for MSU. The sophomore struck out a career high six batters in a season high 4.2 innings pitched. Â
The Racers improve to 5-0 all time against Bellarmine.Â
Murray State will be back in action Wednesday against Kentucky State at Johnny Reagan Field. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
