The Racers face UIC who enters the CFSB on an 8-game winning streak

The Murray State Racers host the UIC Flames Tuesday at the CFSB Center as the team tries to get off of a 4-game losing skid. The Racers are looking to win the season series with the Flames after winning in Chicago on New Year's Day 81-77.

The Racers got off to a slow start Saturday in a 103-86 loss to Belmont as MSU fell out of first place and into a three-way for second place in the Missouri Valley Conference at 8-4 with the Flames and Illinois State.

During the 4-game skid, the Racers are trying to break out of a shooting downturn as the team is hitting 43 percent from the field and 23 percent from the 3-point line, while Drake, UNI, Illinois State and Belmont are managing 53 percent from field goal range and 49 percent from the 3-point line.

During the last 4-game period, MSU freshman Roman Domon is leading the team in scoring at 18.3 points per game, which was boosted by a career-high 29 points last week against UNI.

Domon is the front-runner for the MVC Freshman of the Year award.

Fred King and Javon Jackson continue to lead from the front for the Racers as King lead the league in rebounding at 8.7rpg and is 9th in scoring at 13.4ppg.
Jackson is second in scoring in the MVC with 16.7ppg.
