Racers Put Together Strong Showing at Music City Indoor

MSU Returns on March 1 for MVC Championships
The Murray State women's track & field team put together a big weekend at the Indoor Music City Challenge at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.Â
Serena Blackwood won the 60-meter, setting a new school record with her time of 7.35 seconds. Reagan Gibson is now second all-time in indoor pole vault at Murray State after clearing 3.87 meters. The Racers are back in action at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships from March 1-2 in Terre Haute, Indiana
Meet Notes
- Gibson's pole vault record of 3.87 surpasses a mark of 3.85m, set by Tayla Tootle at the Missouri Invitational earlier this season.
- Simone Joseph set a personal record in the 200-meter with a time of 24.97, fifth best in program history. Â
- Molly Robertson finished the mile in 5:01.75, a personal record and sixth all-time in program history. Â
- The Racers 5k group produced three personal bests for Jocelyn Host, Molly Robertson, and Autumn Egleston. Host finished in 17:46.63, Robertson finished in 18:03.51, and Egleston finished in 18:11.18. Â
- Alyssa Williams advanced to the semi-finals in the 60m with her time of 7.61.
- Lindley Johnston went to the semi-finals in the 60m hurdles and posted a time of 8.82. Â
