Murray, Ky. – Murray State Baseball will look to put an end to its four-game skid as it takes on Kentucky State, a Division II program, in a midweek matchup at 3 p.m. March 10, taking place at McCracken County High School in Paducah, Ky.
The Racers are coming off a road trip at Central Florida where they were swept for the first time this season. Sunday's game ended in heartbreak for Murray State, with UCF scoring six runs in the ninth inning to walk off the Racers for the series sweep.
Last weekend saw a breakout game from redshirt freshman Anthony Perritano, going 3-for-3 with a home run, a double and two RBIs, while also logging a walk and a stolen base.
Tomorrow will be the sixth all-time meeting between the Racers and Thorobreds, with Murray State holding a 5-0 record in the series. Last time the two programs faced off, MSU beat Kentucky State 38-1, a program record for most runs scored in a single game.
Murray State has yet to score under 10 runs in a game when facing KSU, averaging 20 runs per game in the all-time series.
Kentucky State enters Tuesday's contest with a 2-16 record, winning its last two games. The Thorobreds are led by senior two-way player Ryan Campbell, who has appeared in four games on the mound, but leads KSU's offensive efforts through the first month of the 2026 season with five home runs to go along with a .436 batting average.
Murray State and Kentucky State will take the field at 3 p.m. central in Paducah. The game will not be streamed, but fans are encouraged to follow along via live stats (GoRacers.com) and @RacersBaseball on Instagram and X.
